20/20 MEN-tality Project
An initiative founded by Peter Brew-Bevan
Raising awareness on the vital issue of men’s mental health
The key objective was to increase awareness around men’s mental health , helping people to
start reconsidering perceptions about male emotional health and vulnerability.
What did we do?
Our design team created a logo for the project that was inspired by an old fashion dictionary term. We deconstructed the global mental health symbol ‘;’ and integrated this into the logo. The semicolon is globally recognised as a form of solidarity between people dealing with mental illness. We recognised that Peter Brew-Bevan’s emotive portraits were the most powerful way to raise awareness. We created a website built around a gallery of images that would eventually become a platform for raising awareness around mental health. A social media strategy was built showcasing the photographic images and encouraging dialogue on this sensitive issue. The purpose was to foster a supportive digital community.
So, how did it work out?
The result is a striking gallery of personalities that draw attention and focus to the issue of men’s mental health. The project raised awareness and facilitated open discussion in the public forum.
From the first meeting with 3DUX when I initially pitched the concept for my 20/20 MEN-tality Project, I was greeted with utmost enthusiasm. 3DUX came onboard wholeheartedly and started to work on the initial branding within a week of the meeting. From the get-go, the team worked closely with me and listened to my ideas of how I wanted the project to look and perform.
I found their collaborative approach with me second to none and they created a branding that aligned perfectly with what I wanted this project to look like and what it represents. I have found them to be one of the easiest creative teams I have had the pleasure to deal with. They generously took on the role as Social Media Manager, I am in contact with them weekly and have found them to be extremely reliable and generous with their time, especially as they are doing this for charity.
3DUX have exceeded all my expectations and I am grateful for their generosity and ongoing vital support of my project.
