In December 2021, we joined the Audible Originals team and their partners OPR and Pulse in a virtual brainstorm session to kick off the campaign for the next Audible Original Marquee title, Julia Morris Makes It Easy. The idea was to create a through-the-line campaign that offered a seamless customer experience for all audiences.
3DUX Associate Creative Director, Kenny Wan, pitched the winning idea of a tongue-in-cheek, uplifting and light-hearted ‘Masterclass’ spoof video where Julia is the master of a-grade celebrity, self-help wisdom of life and personal development.
What did we do?
3DUX worked closely with Audible to refine a script, and storyboard for 60, 15 and 6 second versions of the video. The footage was shot by Woodside Media and Squaresound in Melbourne in early January. Gustavo Jimenez, 3DUX Senior Digital Designer, edited, graded, designed and refined the videos to recreate the ‘Masterclass’ feel. As well as the video, 3DUX created additional assets for the Audible and Amazon ecosystem, plus accompanying ‘motivation’ self-help cards for Julia’s social channels.
So, how did it work out?
The campaign is currently running with high social interaction, with Julia Morris utilising all key assets across her own social platform (Facebook and Instagram).
