Showcase: Super Bowl 2020The Super Bowl is back in Miami this year, and the National Football League (NFL) are showcasing what makes the city so unique – exuberant street art. This year, the NFL has commissioned LA-based street artist, Tristan Eaton, to design and illustrate the event’s tickets and commemorative program booklet. The first time that a graphic designer and street artist has been chosen to design the iconic artwork, it is particularly telling as this year it is the NFL’s 100th anniversary. In addition to creating the tickets and program, Eaton has also spray painted a 9-foot tall fiberglass model of the Lombardi – the Super Bowl trophy. The artwork will be outside the stadium for fans to admire upon arrival at the game. Eaton is recognised for his pop imagery and freehand paint style portraying the city of Miami’s lively culture through vivid neon colours. If you aren’t one of the lucky ones that scored a ticket to the infamous Super Bowl event, you can still see Eaton’s artworks up close. His designs can be found across the world, from Paris to Shanghai, and in the permanent collection of the MOMA (Museum of Modern Art). 3DUX are digging the NFL showcasing a graphic designer at one of the most famous events of the year >>> follow Tristan Eaton on Instagram @tristaneaton.
